Our passion for cattle ranching dates back four generations to 1907 in Scurry County, Texas. With each passing generation, our family's dedication to this profession and way of life has only grown stronger. What started in Scurry County has since expanded across Texas, New Mexico, and now, our primary ranch in southeastern Oklahoma.
Brett and Laura Sterling
Brett grew up on his family's ranch in Coahoma, TX and later founded Sterling Ranches in 1987. A year later, in January 1988, he married his college sweetheart, Laura. Brett and Laura began their life together in Tatum, New Mexico. They were blessed with two children, Anna and Jordan. For years, Brett and Laura made their home in Tatum, New Mexico, where they built and expanded their ranching operations -- always grounded in their unwavering faith and strong family values.
After 28 years, Brett and Laura moved their primary operation from New Mexico to Oklahoma where their son Jordan has taken a joint partnership in carrying on the legacy of the ranch.
Jordan and Alix Sterling
Jordan and Alix met in their hometown before they both attended and graduated from Texas Tech University. After marrying in 2018, they moved to Oklahoma to continue the joint partnership with Sterling Ranches. Jordan and Alix have started a family and have been blessed with two little girls, Reagan and Lynzey. As a family they hope to build off of the strong foundation set before them and provide quality beef for families near and far.
